Diabetes Related Organizations

The NMA Diabetes Education Program addresses the disproportionate prevalence of diabetes in the Black community, the program is implemented via six coalition sites (in five of the six NMA regions) to conduct diabetes outreach and education in their respective communities. The coalition cities are Atlanta, Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Pine Bluff (Arkansas), and Washington (District of Columbia)

The Canadian Diabetes Association promotes the health of Canadians through diabetes research, education, service and advocacy.

Mission: To increase knowledge and understanding of pedorthics and its practice, encourage development of new pedorthic tools and techniques, and foster the professional development of pedorthic practitioners.

Mission: To prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.

Mission: To support and fund research to find a cure for diabetes and its complications. The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International (JDRF) is a nonprofit, voluntary health agency, and the world's leading charitable funder of research to find a cure for diabetes.

Mission: To serve the professional needs and promote the standards and ethics of doctors of podiatric medicine and their services to the public.

Mission: To provide research grants, patient and public education, Government relations, and patient support group activities.
