How do you help someone in denial of diabetes?

I hear many concerned family members struggle with their parent or sibling that is "not taking care of their diabetes". The next question is "how do I make them do better?" Since we can't make any one do anything what does help?


Depression may Trigger Diabetes in Elderly

"Older adults who report high levels of depressive symptoms are more likely to develop diabetes over time than older adults who have lower depressive symptoms," said lead researcher Mercedes R. Carnethon of Northwestern University.
