It is clear that if you start the day with fruit or veggies, you can actually quite easily make the goal of 5 servings a day. Today I had one at breakfast, 2 at lunch and 2 at dinner. Yippee! 5 servings of fruit and veggies today. I had two servings of starch today. I feel pretty good overall, not overly full and not at all hungry. Once we get through this phase, we will need to start talking about the rest of our nutrition; protein, fluids and so on.
I also walked for 60 minutes. I had to pay my dues from missing yesterday's quota of physical activity. For many of us, these are gorgeous days for a walk. I start off slowly for my warm up, then ramp up, then finish off with a slower pace for my cool down.
If you try this, it should work for you over the long haul. We need to start off by losing 5% of our body fat and there is really no quick way to do it and importantly... maintain it. So start out slow like I am doing and hang in there. That's what we have got to do.
Sign up and chime in! Many of us have this problem that we need to fix; losing 5% of our body fat. I can't be the only one. What are you all doing to fix it? "Enquiring minds" want to know.
